YHSSA is pleased to welcome Kay Lewis as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 4, 2007.
Kay and her husband Bruce have relocated to Yellowknife from Prince Edward Island. Kay is a seasoned administrator with over thirty five years of clinical, educational and administrative experience in the delivery of health care services. She has worked in a variety of settings including public health and community development.
Kay is a registered nurse with a BSc, a Diploma in Health Services Administration, and a Certified Health Executive designate with additional education at the Master's level in Quality Improvement.
She has a reputation as an innovative visionary with a participative leadership style. She possesses a strong background in quality improvement and has considerable experience in building integrated care delivery systems and designing new health care facilities and systems.
Kay received the 2005 Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Public Administration on PEI.
