Great Slave Community Health Clinic

Wednesday,  August 31st was an exciting day for the staff at Great Slave Community Health Clinic and the community of Yellowknife.  After a few months of renovations , service disruptions, and planning the transition to a different way of providing services, an Open House was held to officially mark the occasion.

A First Nations elder, First Nations drummers and an Inuit elder led the ceremony with prayers and blessings.  A member of the project Advisory Committee  also addressed the gathering.  Comments from the Board Chair, Liz Wyman and the CEO, Greg Cummings followed.

The official opening was followed by guided tours through the clinic and  refreshments outside – the weather cooperated and a great time was had by all those who gathered together.
