GET A FLU SHOT / NOT THE FLU
The seasonal flu immunization times are:
Yellowknife Public Health: 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Vaccine is free / No appointments are necessary. NOTE: H1N1 flu vaccine will also be available.
Post Secondary Students
A drop in clinic for H1N1 and season flu vaccine will be held for post-secondary students on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Yellowknife Public Health Unit. If students are not able to attend on this date, H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine will also be given from Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 4:15 Monday to Friday at Yellowknife Public Health. No appointment needed.
H1N1 for Children UPDATE: A second shot of the H1N1 flu vaccine is not needed for children 6 months to 3 years. Information has shown that all children gain protection against H1N1 with one dose of the vaccine.
If you or child(ren) have not had the H1N1 flu vaccine, you can come to the Yellowknife Public Health Unit at the times noted above.
