Karen is a Landscape Architect with Avens Associates Ltd. From 1995 to 2004 she was a member of the Gwich’in Land Use Planning Board. At various times over the past 20 years, she has been a board member with Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), Ecology North and the Canadian Nature Federation. Since 2003 she has been a member of the City of Yellowknife Development Appeal Board and Food First Foundation NWT. She is active in the music scene in Yellowknife playing her flute and is a member of Classics on Stage Yellowknife (COSY), dedicated to bringing classical music to the people of Yellowknife. |
