Our CEO
Ruth Robertson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Yellowknife Health and Social Service Authority. Ruth succeeds Kay Lewis who was recently appointed as the CEO of Stanton Territorial Health Authority.
Ruth is a long-term Northerner who began working as a registered nurse at Stanton Hospital in 1974. She has worked in various clinical capacities in the NWT and Nunavut and has held several senior management positions in the health care sector during her career. She has a master’s degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.
"Ruth is an experienced, highly motivated and competent health practitioner and leader" said Elizabeth Wyman, the Board Chair of the YHSSA Board of Trustees. "Ruth has lived and worked in the North for many years and will be a valuable asset to lead the YHSSA team."
